Several items stolen from unmarked Nebraska State Patrol vehicle, LPD says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A slew of items were stolen Tuesday from an unmarked Nebraska State Patrol vehicle, police say.

Just before 7 p.m., officers were sent to a home near 88th Street and Truchard Road on a report of a vehicle break-in.

The victim, a state trooper, noticed his glovebox was open in his unmarked cruiser parked at the home.

During an investigation, officers discovered an AED, worth $1,500, was missing.

Various law enforcement gear, with an estimated value of nearly $2,000, had also been stolen.

LPD said no firearm was taken.
