Several rural crews battle fire in southeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several rural fire crews are battled flames Friday morning at a building in southeast Lincoln.

Crews from Hickman, Bennett, Southeast Rural and Southwest Rural were sent around 6:30 a.m. to the building near 56th Street and Yankee Hill Road.

A Channel 8 reporter at the scene says the building is fully engulfed in flames.

Tom Smith with Hickman Fire and Rescue said the building is suspected of being a total loss, and no one was injured.

Firefighters will be monitoring the scene all day in case of any flare-ups.
