Several rural crews battle grass fire north of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – Several rural fire crews battled a grass fire north of Lincoln on Sunday.

Crews responded to the area near North 84th Street and Branched Oak Road around 1:55 p.m.

Smoke from the grass fire could be seen from miles away, according to a Channel 8 reporter at the scene.

Several fire crews from Lancaster County and surrounding counties, including Ceresco, Waverly, Eagle and Firth, responded to the scene.

Some roads in the area might remain closed, the sheriff’s office said.

No one was injured, and the cause of the blaze is unknown.
