Several rural crews battle large grass fire north of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several rural fire departments battled a large grass fire north of Lincoln on Thursday.

The fire was reported around 1:50 p.m. at a property near 27th Street and Arbor Road.

In a social media post, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Emergency Management Agency said to avoid the area.


Crews from Ceresco, Malcolm, Raymond and Waverly were fighting the flames.

It is unknown what caused the fire.
