Sunday morning, rain and storms will stay west through noon. Near 1pm, isolated strong storms will start to develop near McCook and along I-80. The strongest storms will begin near 4-5pm in parts of Grand Island. There will be strong storms with LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS and a few brief TORNADOES possible due to the wind shifts along the front. Storm timing will be from 1pm- 2am. As the line of storms moves east through the evening, they will carry strong wind and slowly weaken as the night progresses. Lincoln and Omaha could see some storm activity near 10-11pm with the severe threat lessening.
There is a 2% tornado potential stretching from Grand Island north and south. Due to the front and change in wind direction, a few brief rotations will be possible as the line of storms progresses.
