Severe Weather Doesn't Stop The Music At Maha Festival

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — Maha Festival was back for the 15th year over the weekend, and Friday’s storms didn’t stop the tunes.

With a threat of severe weather around 6 p.m., all festival attendees and volunteers evacuated Stinson Park.

The rain came and went, and gates reopened an hour after the evacuation.

Icky Blossoms took the stage at 7:20 p.m., 1 hour and 20 minutes later than scheduled, for a steamy set as the sun went down.

The night’s closer, Turnstile, took the stage at 10:30, just an hour delayed.

The crowd returned on Saturday for a cooler afternoon filled with music, art and community.
