Seward remains undefeated after shutting out rival York on senior night

SEWARD, Neb. (KLKN) – It was senior night Friday in Seward as the Bluejays came out on top over York 26-0 in Channel 8’s Game of the Week.

Seward’s Ed Knott scored the first points of the game with a 2-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, making the score 7-0 Blue Jays.

It was a back-and-forth first half with the Bluejays taking a 13-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, Seward maintained their slow and steady pace to take control of the game.

York’s quarterback struggled to take care of the ball, throwing two interceptions to help decide the outcome of the game.

Seward head coach Jamie Opfer chose middle linebacker Caden Schadwinkel to take home the game of the week chain.

The Bluejays will finish out their season on the road against Crete next Friday.
