Authorities have arrested a woman accused of stabbing another woman in Fairbury.

Authorities have arrested a woman accused of assaulting another woman in Fairbury.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday to an apartment complex at 417 7th St. in Fairbury on reports a stabbing.
Deputies contained the scene and then received a call that the suspect – identified as Courtney Nicholson – was located two blocks north at another apartment complex where she was threatening residents, JCSO said.
Deputies located and arrested Nicholson for first-degree assault, two counts of terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
The victim was taken to Jefferson Community Health and Life to be treated for her injuries. Authorities did not provide an update on her condition.
