Shooting in Omaha leaves one man dead

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – Police are investigating a fatal shooting in southeast Omaha. Police said officers responding to a report of gunshots around 2 a.m. Sunday found a man who had been shot outside a home.

The man died at the scene of the shooting. Officials did not immediately release the name of the victim, and no arrests were announced Sunday. The shooting is Omaha’s 12th homicide of the year.
