Shots fired in west Lincoln neighborhood, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are on the lookout for a gunman who fired several shots in a west Lincoln neighborhood on Tuesday.

Around 1:15 a.m., an officer patrolling near Sun Valley Boulevard and West O Street heard multiple gunshots coming from a nearby neighborhood.

The officer drove to the area of North Bell and West Q streets, where a witness had called in to report the gunshots.

Police said the officer found “multiple” shell casings and a black glove.

A dark-colored SUV was seen leaving the area immediately following the gunshots, according to LPD.
