UPDATE: 20-year-old UNL Marching Band member killed, and five others injured in Lincoln crash

UPDATE: A University of Nebraska-Lincoln marching band member was killed in a car crash in south Lincoln around 10:30 Friday night. 

According to an LPD accident report, Tyler Butterfield, 20, of Norfolk was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near 10th and Arapahoe. 

Butterfield was in a vehicle trying to turn left onto 10th Street when it was struck. 

Two other passengers inside the vehicle were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. 

Three occupants of the vehicle that collided with the one Butterfield was in were also transported. 

The report says that vehicle was traveling 40-45 miles per hour when the crash occurred. 

Police are still investigating the crash.
