Single-vehicle crash in north Lincoln sends woman to hospital with life-threatening injuries

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was sent to the hospital Sunday afternoon with critical, life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash in north Lincoln.

Just after 1:30 p.m., first responders were sent to the roundabout at 14th and Superior streets for a rescue alarm.

The Lincoln Police Department said an older woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

A video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter shows a red SUV that hit the brick wall in the middle of the roundabout.

Law enforcement closed the north end of the roundabout for a short period of time, but it has since been reopened.

Police couldn’t say what caused the crash.

This is a developing story. Check back with Channel 8 for updates.
