Single-vehicle crash in Seward County turns fiery, fatal

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Seward County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fiery crash that resulted in the death of one person.
Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash near 210th Road and Highway 6.
Investigation showed that an SUV with two occupants drove off the road, causing it to catch fire, the sheriff’s office said.
One person was able to get out of the car, while the other was unable to free themselves, officials said.
The sheriff’s office said the person who was stuck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
