Six arrested in Omaha sex trafficking investigation

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Omaha Police arrested six people on sex trafficking charges this week.

In a press release Wednesday, police said the investigation began Monday when officers responded to a report of a theft at a hotel near 13th Street and Interstate 80.

Officers said they discovered that two minors were sex trafficked.

Investigators found and arrested six suspects over the next two days.

Eduardo Perdomo, 36; Alfredo Zambrano-Hurtado, 24; and Michel Martinez-Gonzalez, 28, were each booked on suspicion of two counts of sex trafficking of a minor.

Perdomo is also charged with possession of child pornography and conspiracy. Zambrano-Hurtado is charged with conspiracy, and Martinez-Gonzalez is accused of flight to avoid arrest.

Sumit Chaudhari, 23; and Kavankumar Patel, 26, were arrested on suspicion of sex trafficking of a minor and first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Vishalgir Goswami, 31, was booked on suspicion of sex trafficking of a minor and accessory to a felony.
