Six events to check out in Nebraska this weekend

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — If you’re still looking for a couple events to fill out your weekend itinerary, look no further.

Pup Crawl — Saturday, 3 to 7 p.m.

Come meet dogs from three Lincoln animal rescues at three Telegraph District businesses.  Each location will showcase dogs available for adoption, as well as great deals for ticket holders.  In addition to lovable dogs, there will be a food truck at each location.

WingFest — Saturday, 5 to 8 p.m.

A volunteer committee sought out the best wings in Lincoln so you can taste them all and vote for your favorite.

Hear Grand Island — Friday, 6 to 11 p.m.

Unleash your inner punk at Amur Plaza.  This family-friendly event will have a beverage garden.

Hall County Fair — All weekend

It’s summer, which means it’s time for the fair.  If you’re looking for carnival rides and food, along with live music, head to the Hall County Fair.  It runs all weekend, with various bands playing each night.  Plus, check out the 4-H competitions.

Dynamite Pete Days — All weekend

Louisville is hosting another year of family fun with 2023’s Dynamite Pete Days.  Check out the book fair, boutique bash, food trucks, kids carnival, frog jumping competition and so much more.  The event is named after a beloved Louisville resident whom everyone called “Dynamite Pete.”  His real name was Levi Everett, and his history is as rich as the city’s.  To learn more about Pete’s life, head to Dynamite Pete Days.

RibStock & LagerFest — Saturday, 4 to 11 p.m.
