Six Nebraska teams gather for first Small College Football Media Day
CRETE, Neb. (KLKN) – Six football teams from schools around the area came together on Monday afternoon for the inaugural Small College Football Media Day at the Haddix Center at Doane University.
The teams in attendance were Doane, Concordia, Nebraska Wesleyan, Midland, Peru State and Hastings College.
Rick Schmuecker, a sports information director for Doane, planned the event as a way to bring schools together in front of media before the start of fall camps.
The head coach and two players represented each team to meet with media and talk about the season ahead.
The consensus from each of the teams was just what fans feel, too: pure excitement.
