Sixth person arrested after north Lincoln drug bust

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department on Monday identified the man who was taken to the hospital after a drug bust in north Lincoln.

Dewayne Johns, 38, was released from the hospital on Saturday and booked in the Lancaster County Jail on the following charges:

  • Two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Tampering with physical evidence

On Thursday, the LPD SWAT team and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force arrested five people in an ongoing drug investigation.

Johns was suspected of overdosing and was taken to a hospital.
