Sixty-five Lancaster County residents hospitalized with COVID-19

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) announces 196 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the community total to 13,450.
The total number of deaths remains at 63.
Recoveries are up from 4,748 to 4,791.
The county’s weekly positivity rate has decreased from 29.1% to 28.6%. While the daily positivity rate remains high, it has also significantly decreased from 30.7% to 20.9%.
A total of 162 people are hospitalized with the virus (65 from Lancaster County). A total of 17 patients are on ventilators.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.
