Slow traffic expected for North Lincoln Tuesday, Wednesday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Commuters should prepare for slow-moving traffic Tuesday and Wednesday.
Concrete bridge girders will be transported across Lincoln to the South Beltway Project.
From 8-9 am and 2-3 pm on both days, the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) will escort three girder transport vehicles from N 63rd Street and Cornhusker Hwy to 27th Street, then south to the project near Saltillo Road.

Intersections along the route will be temporarily closed as the transport vehicles pass through. Southbound drivers on 27th Street are encouraged to find an alternative route.
