Small Overnight Chance, Frigid Temperatures for Sunday
Mostly cloudy skies for any Husker watch parties this evening. Temperatures will drop quickly into the lower 40s and upper 30s after sunset, with a small chance for a shower possible as well.
Temperatures the rest of the way continue to drop as we head into the early morning hours on Sunday.
Chances for overnight precipitation are small, but certainly not zero.
Afternoon runs of Stormcast show the potential for a stray shower and maybe even a flurry for the Capital City early on Sunday morning. No snow accumulation is expected.
Low temperatures tonight look to be the coldest we have seen since late March (March 20, 2025 – 20 degrees). Mostly cloudy skies with many of us falling to the lower 20s.
Overnight wind chills will be frigid for southeast Nebraska. Anyone with Sunday morning plans, especially those running the Good Life Halfsy, should bundle up.
A cold evening ahead for the Capital City under mostly cloudy skies. Lows will reach the lower 20s with northerly winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour.
Temperatures will struggle to improve much on Sunday across southeast Nebraska. Highs tomorrow will be in the middle and upper 30s under partly sunny skies.
Increasing sunshine for Lincoln throughout the day on Sunday as temperatures look to be well below average. We spend most of the afternoon in the lower 30s with strong winds out of the north.
Mostly sunny skies to start the week with temperatures returning to the 60s with an influx of warmer air on Tuesday. Seasonably warm temperatures continue through the upcoming work week, with highs in the 60s. Our next best chance at rain looks to hold off until next weekend, with multiple upper-air disturbances bringing us a couple chances for rain.
