Small rain chances for now, better odds later this week
After record-breaking lows on Sunday morning, temperatures have since turned warmer. While a few locations are flirting with the freezing mark on Monday morning, most are dealing with above-freezing temperatures.
Cloud cover is in part to blame for this. We expect mostly cloudy skies on Monday, and a spotty shower isn’t out of the question. That said, most of the day will be dry. Temperatures will be seasonable, in the upper-60s to near 70°.
The cloud cover sticks around into Tuesday, and again, a spotty shower will be possible. Like Monday’s spotty shower activity, these won’t be too widespread and probably won’t produce a lot of meaningful accumulation.
The best rain chance this week looks like it will arrive closer to the end of the week. Showers will be possible Thursday night and last into Friday. Most guidance suggests that this won’t be a drought buster, with accumulations up to 0.25″. Nevertheless, it does offer us our best opportunity to see some rain this week.
