Smoke & haze in air for Saturday afternoon

Some smoke and haze is in the atmosphere today over Eastern NE from the fires in northern MN and Canada. This is caused by the northeast winds combined with the stability in the atmosphere which concentrates the haze over the region. The Air Quality is generally unhealthy for this afternoon in eastern NE, especially for those with respiratory issue as well as children and elderly. Try to keep physical outdoor activity to a minimum. 

The forecasted rain and change in wind direction should help alleviate the air quality over the next couple of days.
