SMU stuns No. 2 Nebraska volleyball in sweep

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — SMU swept No. 2 Nebraska volleyball 25-23, 25-21, 25-18 on Tuesday night in Dallas.
Nebraska was outhit .242% to .171% in the loss.
The Mustangs racked up seven aces, while the Huskers managed only one.
Merritt Beason led the Huskers with nine kills, followed by Andi Jackson with eight.
Bergen Reilly and Lexi Rodriguez each had 11 digs to lead the defensive effort.
SMU’s Naya Shime and Maya Tabron each recorded nine kills.
Jamison Wheeler led in digs, with 13.
Next, Nebraska faces The Citadel at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Husker Invitational.
