Snow showers expected today; Accumulating snow possible overnight
A cold front passed through southeast Nebraska this morning. Winds have turned out of the north and are gusting to 30 mph.
Snow showers are beginning to develop in central Nebraska and are moving to the east/southeast. Scattered snow showers will be possible through the afternoon. Conditions will deteriorate further this evening and will be focused south of the I–80 corridor.
As of now, it appears that locations south of I–80 in southeast NE may see accumulations from a trace to 3 inches through Tuesday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for counties along the Nebraska/Kansas border. It will be in effect from 10pm tonight through 9am Tuesday.
