Son of Lincoln daycare operator arrested for sexual assault of a child

The son of a Lincoln daycare operator was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a young girl.

The son of a Lincoln daycare operator was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a young girl.

Lincoln police on Saturday arrested 29-year-old Victor Alfonso Meza Vidales for first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Police say the victim – who is now 15-years-old – told a school resource officer she had been sexually assaulted multiple times a day by Vidales while she attended an in-home daycare called Dulce Meza near 30th and T St. approximately five years ago.

The Lincoln Police Department is investigating to determine whether there are any other possible victims.

Vidales is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
