South Lincoln shooting sends two to the hospital, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a shooting in south Lincoln.
Just after 6 p.m. on Thursday, officers were sent to an apartment complex near 27th Street and Old Cheney Road following reports of multiple gunshots in the area.
According to LPD, officers found multiple spent shell casings in a nearby apartment complex parking lot.
Shortly after officers arrived, two adults in their 20s arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police are working to find a third individual believed to have been present during the shooting.
LPD said that the individual’s involvement in the shooting remains unknown at this time.
Based on witness statements and evidence collected, investigators said there is no threat to the public.
