Fire caused $100,000 in damage to southeast Lincoln home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A house in southeast Lincoln caught fire Thursday afternoon.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to the area of 48th and Pioneers Boulevard just after 4:45 p.m.
LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said the fire originated in the kitchen before spreading to an attic.
Firefighters got the flames under control in about 15 minutes. No one was injured.
The house is filled with smoke, heat and water damage, Lierman said, and the estimated amount of damage is $100,000.
Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
