Southern Lancaster County road conditions

According to Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman, Monday night’s weather conditions of snow and freezing drizzle in southern Lancaster County have created very icy conditions on paved roads.

Lancaster County has only one shift of employees available to treat roads.  However, county employees were out Monday night treating some areas that were extremely slick.

The county asks for your understanding and patience in the morning as county staff treat paved roads for the morning commute.

They plan to start treating roads in the southern part of the county at 5 a.m. Tuesday.

It has been a long winter and Lancaster County Engineering asks that you adjust your speed for current road conditions. 

Please allow yourself extra time for your morning commute Tuesday morning.
