Spark ignites fuel fire at west Lincoln auto shop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews battled flames Thursday at a west Lincoln auto shop.

LFR was sent around 8:30 a.m. to an auto shop near Northwest Ninth Street and West Cornhusker Highway.

LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said people were working inside when a spark ignited some fuel.

Lierman said additional crews were called to the scene due to a fuel fire.

No one was injured and the amount of damage is unknown.

A part of westbound Cornhusker Highway is closed as LFR responds to the scene.
