Speed limit on Saltillo Road will be reduced to 50 mph

County Engineers have announced the speed limit on Saltillo Road from 27th Street to 68th Street will be reduced. 

The new speed limit will be posted as 50 miles per hour, down from 55 miles per hour. 

The change comes after a speed study, an investigation into the roadway cross-section, crash history analysis and other factors. 

The Lancaster County Board passed a resolution in June determining the lower speed limit to be safer based on the road’s conditions. 

The new speed limit signs are expected to be installed by Monday, September 17th.
