Spinoza Bears Provide Comfort For Sick Children
A Lincoln group is working to give kids in crisis some extra comfort. Kids Unlimited Incorporated is a non-profit organization that feels every child deserves a little sunshine through some dark times. They give the kids a 17 inch talking stuffed bear. Three year old Kayla Massa was diagnosed with lukemia just last year. Her mother says it has really helped her little girl get through her illness. Now, her bear goes everywhere she does. The spinoza bears have a built-in tape player and come with nine different tapes that have soothing songs and sayings for the child. They become someone that the child knows they can always trust for some extra comfort. Kids Unlimited donated five bears last year. They have already been able to donate ten so far this year. If you would like to donate money to the organization, you can call 477-2119. You can send it to 1025 North 23rd #12, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68503.
