LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A recent survey shows that spring break bookings have increased by 134 percent in 2022.

The data from Allianz Partners shows Americans are planning trips to warm-weather destinations.

The survey shows that Orlando was the most popular for domestic travel for the sixth year in a row.  Orlando was followed by Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale.

International travel is still down due to entry restrictions and mandates, according to the survey.

The top three international destinations on the list were Cancun, San Jose del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.

On Thursday, federal officials announced they have extended masks on planes and public transportation for one more month.
