Spring-Game Parking Information

FOOTBALL FANS ENCOURAGED TO USE PARKING OPTIONS OR BIG RED EXPRESS

Husker football fans going to the spring game Saturday can take advantage
of a $5 all-day fee for parking at City facilities.  The following garages
and lots are included:
   Haymarket Garage, 9th and “Q” streets
   Carriage Park Garage, 1128 “L” St.
   Center Park Garage, 1120 “N” St.;
   Cornhusker Square Garage, 1220 “L” St.
   Market Place Garage, 10th and “Q” streets
   Que Place Garage, 1111 “Q” St.
   University Square Garage, 101 N. 14th St.
   Iron Horse Lot, 7th and “Q” streets.

Fans can purchase parking for the Spring Game online until midnight Friday
at parkitdowntown.org or the City Web site, lincoln.ne.gov (keyword:
parking).

During construction of a new Harris Overpass, those entering Lincoln on
West “O” Street are advised to use the signed detour route by traveling
south on Highway 77, then east on Rosa Parks Way, which turns into “K”
Street at 9th Street.  The project also has closed 8th Street at “O.”

In addition to its regular routes, StarTran is providing the Big Red
Express shuttle service for the game for $4 each way.  The express bus
service to and from Memorial Stadium is available from two locations:
   At SouthPointe Pavilions, 27th and Pine Lake Road, buses will load in
      the loop on the west side of Von Maur.
   At the Slumberland/Toys R Us location, 27th and Superior streets, buses
      will load on Kensington, just south of Slumberland.

The Big Red Express will begin operating two hours prior to kick-off with
continuous shuttle service to the east stadium area.  The last buses will
leave for the stadium about 45 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. kick-off.  Buses
will depart immediately after the game from the east stadium area.
Passengers will need exact change when boarding the bus.  Additional
