Star City BMX hosts BMX-Racing at the Cornhusker State Games

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Star City BMX hosted a night of racing at the Cornhusker State Games BMX-racing event.

The event ran from 7:00 p.m. until near 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Near all ages were featured on the track from four-year olds to 60 plus.
Different age groups and skill levels were featured throughout the night.

No matter your skill level, expert rider and Lincoln Southwest senior Jayden Beckmann believes this is a sport worth giving a try!
“The biggest thing for me is the people,” said Beckmann. “Everyone is super helpful and nice where your first starting out.”
The 10-year veteran rider also spoke on the Cornhusker State games and the importance of the event giving BMX another opportunity to shine.
Beckmann walked with two gold medals Wednesday night.
“The main reason I’m here is for the sport, for the fun of it,” he said.
The Cornhusker State games will continue until July 20th.
