Stars punch postseason ticket with win over Omaha, led by Pechar’s hat trick

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Stars cruised to another dominating victory over Omaha, shutting the Lancers out 4-0 in front of a sellout crowd of 4,211 fans. It’s the second time this year the Ice Box Arena has sold out.
Lincoln’s Jack Pechar, was the star of the night completing a hat trick.
Pechar scored a goal in each period. It was the Forward’s second hat trick of the season.
But, the Stars are now the first USHL team to clinch a playoff spot as they improve to 34-12-1. It’s Lincoln’s fourth consecutive season making the playoffs, and their 20th out of 29 seasons.
Before Lincoln can officially begin competing for their third Clark Cup, they’ve still got two months left of the regular season.
The Stars will travel to Fargo, ND for a two game series vs. the Fargo Force on Friday and Saturday night.
