StarTran: Lincoln sees largest ridership increase in the state

New data shows that Lincoln ridership on city buses has seen the largest increase in numbers for urban systems in Nebraska.

StarTran was awarded the accomplishment Monday.

StarTran officials say they saw a 3.6 percent increase in riders from 2017 to 2018.

That’s an increase of about 85,000 riders.

They attribute the accomplishment partly to the implementation of the Transit Development Plan, put forth in 2016.
