LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Georgia woman was arrested Saturday after she was caught with 130 pounds of methamphetamine in southwest Omaha, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.

Around 6:45 p.m., troopers stopped a Nissan Altima for speeding on Interstate 80 near the 144th Street exit.

During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity, according to the state patrol.

The state patrol said a K9 with the Papillion Police Department smelled the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle revealed several trash bags in the trunk, containing 130 pounds of suspected meth.

The driver — 47-year-old Iesha Smith of Smyrna, Georgia — was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

She was lodged in the Sarpy County Jail.
