State Senator Kate Bolz kicks off 2020 campaign

State Sen. Kate Bolz kicked off her campaign Thursday evening at the Single Barrel restaurant in Lincoln. This comes just two weeks after announcing her official candidacy for Nebraska’s Congressional District Run.
“I’m ready and eager to serve my friends and neighbors here in Southeast Nebraska,” said Bolz.
At the event, the democratic state senator said health care is an important issue for many Nebraskans. Bolz also stated that she is currently paying close attention to farm and trade policies.
Bolz spoke of her agenda and why she should represent eastern Nebraska in Congress as her supporters listened eagerly.
“She will speak for families, for farmers, and for the needs we have at this current time,” said Barbara Baier, one of Bolz’s supporters.
State Sen. Kate Bolz is a 6th generation Nebraskan who grew up on the family farm near Palmyra.
She is running against republican incumbent, Congressman Jeff Fortenberry.
