Steady warm-up as we go in to the weekend
We are looking up as we arrive at the end of the work week and the weekend. Temperatures will be gradually warming Friday and Saturday before taking a big leap Sunday.
Skies will turn mostly clear by early Friday morning. It will be cold as temperatures fall to the single digits to middle teens. Single digits will happen where there is more of a snow pack over the southern tier of counties in the state.
Sunny skies are expected for Friday. Yes, it will be warmer, but don’t break out your beach chairs and swimsuits just yet. Temperatures will climb to the lower 30°s. Winds will gust to 30 mph, at times, out of the northwest. This will send wind chills in to the 20°s.
We keep climbing the temperature ladder Saturday with highs in the 40°s under mostly sunny skies.
Sunday is the pick day of the weekend. Mostly sunny skies. Temperatures should easily climb in to the 60°s.
