Stolen handgun seized from northeast Lincoln home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Investigators recovered a stolen handgun Thursday at a home in northeast Lincoln, police say.

Around 8:30 a.m., members of the the fugitive and narcotics taskforces were conducting an investigation near 71st Street and Leighton Avenue.

During the investigation, authorities found three people — Bryant Bruce, Charles Lynch and a 28-year-old man — and took them into custody.

Police said two handguns, including one that had been reported stolen in 2024, were recovered at the home.

Bruce was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Lynch was charged on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

The third man was cited and released on suspicion of providing false information.
