Stolen pickup truck used in ATM theft at Lincoln bank, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A stolen pickup truck was used Friday morning in an ATM theft at a north Lincoln bank, police say.
The theft was reported around 1:40 a.m. at the Liberty First Credit Union near 48th and R streets.
Police said two to three people used a pickup truck and a chain to pull an ATM from its base.
The thieves left with an undisclosed amount of money from the ATM.
When officers arrived, they found the pickup abandoned with the chain still attached, according to police.
The pickup was reported stolen from 49th and Glade streets on Thursday.
Police estimate that the ATM has $20,000 in damage.
