Stolen truck found with help of tracker on keys, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office used a tile tracker on keys to find a truck after it was stolen on Wednesday.
James Conradt, 19, parked his Tacoma truck on the side of the road near the intersection of South 134th Street and Yankee Hill Road while he was working.
Conradt left the window down and keys in the vehicle while he was working from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
During that time his vehicle was stolen.
According to the sheriff’s office, a tile tracker on the keys was used to track the vehicle to the area of 25th and R Streets.
Officers searched the area with Conradt and found the vehicle at 23rd and R Streets.
While conducting a traffic stop they found Ronald Noyd, 62, in the driver’s seat. At that time, Noyd was the only one in the vehicle.
Officers say that it cannot be proven that Noyd is the person that originally stole the vehicle.
Noyd was driving on a suspended license and was arrested for theft by receiving stolen property.
The sheriff’s office reminds everyone to lock their cars, take their keys with them and remove any valuable items.
