Storm Chasers announce 2025 coaching staff; Manager Mike Jirschele returns for 17th season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Kansas City Royals on Friday announced the Omaha Storm Chasers coaching staff for the 2025 season.
Manager Mike Jirschele is returning for his 17th season at the helm of the Triple-A franchise.
Jirschele took home International League Manager of the Year in 2024, leading the Storm Chasers to an International League title.
Pitching coach Dane Johnson, hitting coach Bijan Rademacher and assistant pitching coach Dave Lundquist are all returning from last season’s staff.
New to the team in 2025 are assistant hitting coach Darin Everson and coach Pat Osborn.
Everson spent the last two seasons as the hitting coach for Double-A Binghamton in the New York Mets organization. The previous 10 seasons he spent in the Colorado Rockies organization as a hitting coordinator.
Osborn most recently spent three seasons as Miami’s minor league field coordinator. The previous six season were spent as a manager in the New York Yankees system.
The Storm Chasers will start their season against Iowa with a three-game series starting on Mar. 28. First pitch is at 7:08 p.m.
The home opener for Omaha is on April 1 against the Louisville Bats at Werner Park.
