Daytime Monday will be mostly sunny followed by possible strong to severe storms Monday night into Tuesday. Lingering storm chances continue Tuesday before drying up on Wednesday.
Parts of northern, central and eastern Nebraska are in a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for Severe Weather Monday night. Surrounding counties are in a Marginal Risk (level 1/5).
Damaging wind speeds, large hail with strong to severe thunderstorms are the primary risks at this time. The Channel 8 Storm Alert Team is tracking this system as it approaches.
Monday will be mostly sunny throughout the daytime hours. Various models show a storm system make its way into northern and eastern Nebraska overnight Monday into Tuesday Morning.
