Storms tonight and a cooler weekend
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues until 4 AM for portions of eastern Nebraska and Kansas.
Severe storms are possible throughout Nebraska this evening and overnight.
Cool temperatures will be felt in western Nebraska with the passage of a cold front tonight.
Highs will also be cooler and around five degrees below normal for early May.
Northwest winds will gust to nearly 30 MPH primarily during the morning but calmer by afternoon.
The weekend although cooler will be nice followed by warmer temps and more storms by Monday evening.
A cold front pushing across the state tonight triggering thunderstorms means some areas of eastern Nebraska could see 0.75″ to 1.00″ rainfalls later tonight and overnight. After storms on Monday moisture drops out of the forecast with mild conditions through next weekend and beyond.
