Stray showers Tuesday won’t amount to much besides a mild day
It’s been cloudy and mild already this morning, with some light rain coming down early. Stray showers are expected to linger somewhat throughout the morning but won’t amount to much.
Some of the morning cloud cover is set to limit our heating later in the day, even with more sun mixing in. High temperatures will likely be a bit warmer (headed toward the lower 80s) with southeast winds increasing throughout the afternoon as well.
By the time the light drizzle from the morning moves out, some may be lucky enough to record a couple hundredths of an inch. Most will just see a trace, if anything.
Temperatures are set to be about 20 degrees cooler on the eastern side of the state, compared to the west today. Highs will range from the upper 70s to the upper 90s across Nebraska on Tuesday.
After this, we’ll gradually warm with another small chance at some more rain by Thursday night. Gradually warming from these somewhat cooler temperatures on Tuesday will mean temperatures back to around normal the rest of the week.
It’s still looking quite a bit hotter by the weekend. Saturday and Sunday we’ll be looking at days where the middle and upper 90s come back.
