Students injured after vehicle crashed into bus in rural southeast Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A vehicle crashed into a school bus Thursday afternoon at a rural Gage County intersection.
The crash happened just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of South 96th and East Aspen roads.
The Gage County Sheriff’s Office said a GMC Acadia came over a hill and struck the middle of the school bus.
Some of the students had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Staff from Freeman Public Schools were also at the scene and helped get students to their parents.
An investigation is ongoing. Investigators think alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
