Sunny and warmer days ahead

Relatively calm weather is expected over the next 24-36 hours for southeast Nebraska.  That includes clear skies and lighter winds.  This will allow temperatures to return to above normal levels.

While we will keep sunshine and warmer temperatures Saturday, winds will begin to increase.  Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph looks like for both days of the weekend.

The big difference from Saturday to Sunday will be the introduction of a veil of mid/high level clouds overspreading Nebraska ahead of a weather system that brings a wet start to the work week.
