Sunshine returns along with warmer temperatures
Southeast Nebraska awoke to patchy dense fog Wednesday morning. Visibility has been reduced to 1/4 mile or less in areas, especially central Nebraska. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday due to the fog.
Skies will become mainly sunny once the fog lifts. This will allow temperatures to warm in to the upper 70°s to lower 80°s for the afternoon. Generally, expect temperatures to be 5° to 8° warmer than Tuesday.
Temperatures climb higher Thursday ahead of an approaching cold front. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80°s with only slightly higher humidity – dew point temperatures are expected to be in the lower to middle 60°s.
The front will provide just enough lift in the atmosphere showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible later Thursday night.
