Sunshine returns for the latter half of the weekend
Cloud cover has blanketed the sky over the last few days, which kept temperatures in the upper-60s and low-70s on Friday and Saturday. Although a few light showers were seen on radar Saturday afternoon, these were very sparse in coverage and most remained dry.
It is possible to see a brief sprinkle early Saturday evening, but the odds of that happening are low. I anticipate that most will remain 100% dry on Saturday evening. In fact, cloud cover starts to exit southeast Nebraska from west to east Saturday night.
We’re mostly clear by Sunday morning, with low temperatures near 51°.
More sunshine will allow temperatures to be several degrees warmer on Sunday. We’re forecasting a high of 78° in Lincoln, which is above the average high temperature of 73°. Sunday is overall a comfortable day, with NNW winds at around 8-15 mph.
Dry weather prevails into next week with temperatures in the mid to upper-70s on Monday under clear skies. While we start to increase clouds slightly starting Tuesday, we’re still dry and mild with highs in the middle-70s.
